Weight loss with Noom Coach: Thinking of joining Noom? If so it’s important to do your homework. Besides reading reviews, researching cost, and weighing the free trial, it helps to learn whether users are meeting their weight loss goals.

One inspiring way to do so is to look through the plethora of Noom “before and after” pics online. That can be a little time-consuming though, as they are scattered all over sites like Instagram. Well, the good news is that we did the leg-work and found some before and after photos showing successful weight loss transformations using Noom.

Here are our favorite Noom before and afters:

Using Noom Coach: Before and After Losing 60 Pounds!

View this post on Instagram

It's #sidebysidesaturday 💫 (Rocking my goal jeans) Since starting my healthy journey last January, I've lost 60 lbs naturally. It was not easy & it didn't happen overnight.✨ But I didn't wait until Monday. It was January 26th, a Friday night, at 9pm. That's when I decided I needed to do something about this. (Which is why my official "start day" is the 27th.) I joined @noom & took their quiz. After answering the questions honestly, it's when I came to realize that I have a binge eating disorder. They described it as "storm eating" which is one of the four main types of eating. 🌟(If you want to know the other three, you can go here:) https://weightlosswithhappiness.wordpress.com/2012/04/21/the-four-types-of-eating/ . I was stashing food in places where others couldn't find it. I had a drawer FULL of snacks at work. I was eating in my car, so nobody would see me. I would scarf an entire container of ice cream in one sitting. I ate past the point of full & still wouldn't stop. When I found out that my eating was destructive it really shone a light on what I was doing to myself. I knew that I needed help, & I was so relieved when I finally got it. I'm not sure I would've been able to work around my relationship with food all by myself. Before that, I kept asking my husband for help, but he didn't know how. Of course he didn't. He's not a therapist, or a health coach, or anyone with a license that can handle patients with eating disorders. What I'm saying is, if you suspect you're struggling with an eating disorder, get help. It can & will get better. Do I still binge? Do I still have episodes? Do I still struggle? Of course! But I have the tools, now, that are capable of getting past what happened when I had my momentary lapse. I see & accept that I'm flawed, & work every day to get better. 40+ Year-Old Mom Uses Noom + Yoga for 1 Year:

View this post on Instagram

Hello everyone. It was a long time since I posted a post on this account. I Have taken a long break from this profile. Have had it intensely in life privately and have gone through a big change in life job-wise. Now things are starting to clear up and I feel that I now have some motivation to come back here. I have been doing my daily routine which for more than half a year has consisted of Yoga in different ways, a mix of Vinyasa Flow yoga and Yoga shred which I absolutely love as it makes me get the pulse, builds both fitness and strength. In combination with this, I have in recent times also really worked towards the daily goal of going 10,000 steps a day. It has resulted in a changed mindset that I take the car less, prefer to walk to a much higher extent and something that I really feel good about. Something that I also realized through my fitness trip is that I feel best when I keep track of my macros and make sure I get a good mix of fruit, vegetables, proteins and the right fat. A crucial success factor for me is to keep an eye on the "unnecessary" calories in the wrong drink, bread, accessories and sauces … Here are some comparison pictures that show that it pays to keep your eyes on the ball, have continuity and never give up. The first picture is my first yes uploaded back in September 2015 when I started my journey, the middle picture is my top form at my wedding June 2016 and the third picture is today. I have turned 40, got 2 children and kept going on this level for 3 years since September 2015. Never give up on yourself! My goal this spring is to get back to my June 2016 shape! . . #healthymom #beingagoodrolemodelformydaughters #activemomhappyfamily #strongisthenewskinny #progressnotperfection #thejourneyisnotlinear #yogaisgoodforthesoul #healthyactivelifestyle #bodylovebabes #yogashred #healthymom #beingagoodrolemodelformydaughters #activemomhappyfamily #strongisthenewskinny #progressnotperfection #thejourneyisnotlinear #yogaisgoodforthesoul #healthyactivelifestyle #bodylovebabes #fitandfierceover40yoga #dailyOM #tabatayoga #sadienardiniyoga . . . .

Jennie was on the fence about starting a diet, and after seeing ads for Noom’s free trial, she finally took the plunge. Her Noom coach created a plan for her, and she was on her way to living a healthier lifestyle.

Of course, losing 30 pounds was just one of the positive benefits of making healthier choices. With weight loss and healthier eating comes increased energy and self-confidence, too. With structure and tracking on the Noom app, she had a plan, and each day moved a little closer to her health and weight loss goals. Nice work!

While Transformation Photos Are Inspiring…

Finding the right weight loss program is an important decision, as a diet has to work for you. (not the other way around) Noom has been called, “WW for Millennials” because it is a simple, app-based program that requires tracking and doesn’t restrict any foods. (*If you are considering WW, we have coupons here!)

However, Noom takes weight loss a step further by incorporating a personal coach who is like a sherpa on your weight loss journey.

If you think it might be a good fit for your personality, check it out below with a free online evaluation:

Is Noom Free? (Nope!) Here’s How the Free Trial REALLY Works:

Noom free trial: As people give up on “dieting” and focus more on “wellness”, a handful of app-based weight loss apps have sprung up to challenge heavyweights like WW. One of the most popular apps is Noom, which has been called Weight Watchers for Millenials.”

Noom (review) has surged in popularity because it offers structure, motivation, and accountability by focusing both on the physical and psychological components of weight loss plus a personal coach who guides you on your weight loss journey.

However, unlike some of the weight loss apps out there, Noom is not free. Even so, the good news is that you can try Noom for a free trial period before being billed. To do so, just complete their free 30-second evaluation which concludes with a free trial offer below:

Get started!

Just click above to get started with a free evaluation and 14-day free trial.

Is Noom Free?

While Noom started out as a free weight loss app, it is no longer free and now requires a subscription costing $49.50 per month. Since its introduction in 2008 the program has evolved greatly and now includes dynamic features and resources including a coaching component that provides significant personal attention and support.

Noom believes that the coaching component is crucial for success and distinguishes their program from free apps like “Lose It!” and MyFitnessPal which are more of a DIY approach to weight loss.

Noom has chosen to no longer offer a free version of their app in order to offer a superior product.

While Noom is not free, you can try it free for 14 days with their free trial offer.

How the Noom Free Trial Works:

noom free trial

When you visit noom.com, you can get started with a 60-second online evaluation that to help Noom learn more about you and your goals.

Besides predictable questions about weight, height, gender, age, and goal weight, you’ll also be asked a few questions about your lifestyle, eating habits, and daily activity level.

Noom then asks if you have any health issues, and surprisingly asks you what type of area you live in, (city, suburbs, or country) as they believe that even factors like your environment are important in wellness and weight loss.

At the conclusion of the evaluation, Noom displays your survey results as well as your current and target BMI:

noom target weight

To continue and join Noom right away, you’ll need to enter your billing information. Know that if you don’t cancel within the first 14 days, your credit card will be charged for the first two months of membership ($99) starting on that day, and billed again for the same amount every two months.

The free trial allows you to experience all of the features of Noom with the option to cancel within 14 days before being billed.

Noom is app-based, so when you continue with the “free” trial, they will send you an email with a link to download the app and get started. Be sure to open this email on your phone, as the link directs you to the app store.

Noom Doesn’t Call It a “Free Trial” Offer

It’s interesting to note that nowhere on noom.com refers to the trial as “free.” Presumably this is because they hope that you take joining seriously and begin the program with the intent of continuing long-term.

Noom will assign you a Goal Specialist after you join, so they do have a lot invested in you continuing!

Free Trial on Facebook?

It’s also worth checking Facebook for a Noom free trial offer. As far as I can tell it’s the same as the “free trial” we mention above, but they actually give you a promo code to enter at checkout.

Hmmm… maybe you don’t have to enter a credit card? I can’t tell the difference.

How to Cancel the Free Trial

Not loving Noom? It’s ok. Just notify your personal coach within the 14-day “free” trial period to cancel your membership.

Know that while most Noom reviews are positive, there are a number of complaints stating that cancelling your membership is not as easy as it should be. If you do wish to cancel, I recommend doing so with at least a full day left in the free trial to avoid being unexpectedly billed.
